Solar Photovoltaic Installer

The Core Construction certification prepares individuals for positions on project sites by providing the basics in safety, hand and power tools, construction math, materials handling, construction drawings, rigging, and employability skills.

This curriculum (level 1) curriculum enables learners to become a Solar Photovoltaic Installer that does:

1. Roof-mounted installations on residential and commercial buildings.
–OR–
2. Ground-mounted installations on commercial buildings or utility scale (i.e., 10 megawatts or larger). Learners will be prepared to take the North American Board of Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Photovoltaic Associate™ exam, an assessment that measures demonstrated knowledge of the fundamental principles of the application, design, installation, and operation of photovoltaic systems.
